Dr. Chris Flask, Assistant Professor of Radiology, Biomedical Engineering, and Pediatrics at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, OH, visited the CAMEL and the University of Arizona on Nov 11-12, 2012. Dr. Flask presented a seminar to the Biomedical Engineering Graduate Interdisciplinary Program, titled "Quantitative MRI for Early-Stage Assessment of Lung Disease in Cystic Fibrosis". Dr. Flask also participated in two roundtables that discussed the technical development of clinical MRI protocols and the strategic approach to clinical MRI trials. These roundtables were a useful experience for the clinical MRI research community at the University of Arizona, in order to prepare for the installation of a state-of-the-art clinical MRI scanner for advanced research studies at the University of Arizona. The CAMEL greatly appreciated Dr. Flask's visit, and we look forward to the chance to invite Dr. Flask back to Tucson.
