Research Interest:

I am a cancer biologist interested in translational, multi-disciplinary, and collaborative research. I feel passionately about devoting my career to fulfilling unmet medical needs in cancer diagnosis and treatment. For my first graduate project, I am developing an MRI method to distinguish between indolent valley fever nodules and cancer lesions in the lung—the first non-invasive test for the differential diagnosis of those particular conditions. This assay has the potential to improve the lives of many patients in the Southwestern United States. My long-term goal is to become a leader in the research and development of groundbreaking cancer diagnostic and treatment technologies.
